2004

Adco was awarded the 4.4MW expansion of BHP Billiton's 22MW power plant. The addition of a sixth Genset at BHP Billiton is complementary to the first 5 Gensets installed by Adco in 1997. The Genset was fully commissioned on August 16, 2004.

2004/2005

Adco was awarded the Gjoa Haven Water Works and Water Supply Transmission Main and Intake Pumphouse in Gjoa Haven, Nunavut. Civil work is to begin in 2004. The required accessory buildings and vaults will be fabricated in our Edmonton shop for installation in the Pipeline in the summer of 2005. Completion is expected in November of 2005.

2004

Adco has been awarded the electrical/mechanical portion of the work required to rebuild the Fort McPherson, NT, power plant. Work on this contract is to be complete by the end of 2004.

Tli Cho Projects Partnership (2003)

Tli Cho Projects

Adco entered into an arrangement with Tli Cho Logistics in March of 2003 to provide construction and maintenance services to Diavik Diamonds Inc. under the name of Tli Cho Projects.

Tli Cho Logistics is an aboriginal organization owned by the Dogrib of Rae-Edzo. It has an impressive track record in building businesses aimed at supporting mining operations and an equally impressive record in promoting aboriginal employment and training.

Adco provides its expertise in developing and managing electrical and mechanical industrial construction projects along with heavy trades' maintenance expertise and is committed to transferring these skills to northerners and northern aboriginals.

The resulting combination provides Diavik with a means of obtaining cost effective construction and maintenance services while meeting its obligations to impacted aboriginal communities and the Government of Northwest Territories.
